Chapter 6 Thought Power

I wrote Invisible Energies to share what I have learned through a lifetime of direct experience with nonphysical forces. My name is Jeffrey Seelman, and I have spent decades working as a psychic, exorcist, teacher and emotional energy expert. In this book, I speak honestly about the powerful yet unseen influences that shape our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Invisible Energies offers practical tools, like the Mirror Shield, for protecting ourselves against negative emotional and spiritual interference. These teachings are grounded in personal encounters and professional work, not theory. I hope this book helps you see the invisible
-and take back your power.

Between 2024 and 2025, Jeffrey Seelman wrote Invisible Energies while living in Wisconsin, USA, drawing on decades of personal experience and professional work as a psychic, exorcist, and emotional energy expert. Born in Milwaukee in 1959, Seelman has long been recognized for his deep understanding of nonphysical energies and their influence on human emotions and behavior. During this period, he worked intensively to synthesize years of metaphysical research, case studies, and personal encounters with spirits into a comprehensive volume that explains how unseen forces affect our emotional health and societal dynamics.

The writing of Invisible Energies marks a significant culmination of Seelman's lifelong mission to educate people about the real-world effects of emotional energy and spiritual interference. By the time the book was published in May 2025, Seelman had developed a distinct voice-one that bridged science and spirituality-aiming to empower readers through practical protection techniques like the Mirror Shield. Composed and published in the heart of the Midwest, the book reflects both a regional grounding and a global concern for rising emotional instability, presenting a compelling argument that we must recognize and defend ourselves against these invisible but powerful influences.

Introduction

In a world increasingly saturated with information, media, and digital noise, it's easy to overlook one of the most persistent and influential forces acting upon our lives: emotional energy. In Invisible Energies, Jeffrey Seelman brings attention to this often-ignored aspect of human experience, arguing with clarity and urgency that unseen emotional and spiritual energies have a real, measurable effect on our behavior, our health, and even our global conflicts.

Jeffrey Seelman is not a newcomer to this territory. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1959, he has spent a lifetime observing, interacting with, and ultimately teaching about nonphysical energies. Seelman demonstrated psychic sensitivity from a very young age, perceiving emotions and presences that others could not. These early experiences shaped his worldview and eventually drove him to seek answers through spiritual study, metaphysical research, and military discipline during his service in the U.S. Air Force. Following his service, he deepened his exploration of metaphysical principles and eventually began offering energy clearing and protection services to the public in the early 1990s.

Over the decades, Seelman developed a reputation as a skilled psychic and exorcist, known for clearing negative emotional energies from individuals and locations. His work bridges science and spirituality, positing that emotional energies, though invisible, behave in predictable ways. Whether originating from people, spirits, or other-dimensional entities, these energies interact with our own emotional fields, often without our conscious awareness. Through his organization, Starclear, Seelman has helped thousands understand and shield themselves from these forces.

Invisible Energies is the culmination of Seelman's years of research, experience, and personal encounters with nonphysical realms. This book is not merely theoretical; it is grounded in the author's lived experiences and professional casework. Seelman has appeared on national television, performed live exorcisms, and shared his knowledge across a range of platforms-from traditional broadcast media to online interviews. Despite this public exposure, his mission remains constant: to educate and empower people to reclaim control over their emotional and spiritual lives.

The core message of Invisible Energies is both simple and profound: emotional energy is real, it is powerful, and it is manipulable-by others, by spirits, and by us.

Seelman defines "emotional violence" as a modern plague, exacerbated by our constant exposure to media, social discord, and the influence of nonphysical entities. He argues that most people have lost control over their emotional states, not because they are weak or broken, but because they are bombarded by emotional inputs that are neither recognized nor filtered.

Drawing from years of clearing homes, businesses, and individuals from disruptive forces, Seelman identifies negative emotional energy as a root cause of everything from personal conflict to mass hysteria. And yet, his tone is not one of doom, but of hope. Through clear visualization techniques like the Mirror Shield-a method he developed to repel harmful energies-Seelman teaches readers how to protect themselves emotionally and psychically.

Importantly, Seelman does not demand belief in a specific religion or spiritual framework. His approach is rooted in what he calls "nonphysical science," a discipline that respects both empirical inquiry and intuitive knowledge. In his view, the mind, personality, and soul are all nonphysical constructs that operate within a larger energetic matrix. The book makes a compelling case that these systems can be defended and strengthened, once we understand the mechanics of emotional energy.

Seelman also devotes significant attention to the role of spirits-both benevolent and malevolent-in our daily lives. Spirits, according to him, are simply people who no longer have physical bodies, and just like humans, they vary in intention and emotional maturity. While many are kind or neutral, others seek to manipulate living people by amplifying negative emotions such as fear, anger, and despair. These entities, he warns, are especially drawn to those who are emotionally vulnerable.

This book doesn't shy away from complex subjects, including spiritual warfare, alien intelligence, and emotional telepathy. But Seelman presents these topics with a grounded, conversational tone that makes them accessible. He insists that the universe is interconnected and that all beings-whether human, spirit, or extraterrestrial-communicate via emotional and thought-based energy. In this model, emotional telepathy isn't some fringe concept, it's the foundation of how influence works on both the micro and macro levels.

Invisible Energies offers both diagnosis and remedy. It helps readers identify when their emotional states are being manipulated or influenced by external sources, and it gives them the tools to push back. The techniques taught in this book can be used anywhere-at home, at work, even in public spaces-and require nothing more than mental focus and intentionality.

In the end, Seelman's work is about empowerment. He believes that we have the innate capacity to recognize emotional interference, reclaim sovereignty over our emotional systems, and live more peaceful, intentional lives. He invites readers not just to believe in the existence of invisible energies, but to experience firsthand what it means to live free from their unwanted influence.

Through Invisible Energies, Jeffrey Seelman encourages us to stop underestimating our emotional environment-and to start navigating it with clarity, purpose, and protection.

Jeffrey Seelman is a professional psychic, author, teacher, and exorcist renowned for his expertise in clearing negative emotional energies and entities from individuals, homes, and businesses. Born on September 29, 1959, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Seelman exhibited psychic abilities from an early age, perceiving emotional energies and spirits that others could not. These early experiences laid the foundation for his life's work in understanding and mitigating the impact of unseen forces on human well-being.

After serving in the United States Air Force, Seelman pursued extensive studies in metaphysical thought and philosophy during the 1980s. His dedication to understanding the interplay between emotional energies and spiritual entities led him to develop techniques for clearing negative energies and protecting individuals from their detrimental effects. In 1992, he began offering his services to the public, focusing on helping people cleanse their environments and themselves from harmful influences.

Seelman's work emphasizes the significance of emotional energies as tangible forces that can influence our lives, even though they are not visible to the naked eye. He posits that these energies, generated by thoughts and emotions, can accumulate and affect our mental and physical health. His approach combines scientific understanding with spiritual practices, aiming to provide comprehensive solutions for those affected by negative energies.

In his book "Invisible Energies," Seelman delves into the concept of emotional violence and the pervasive impact of negative energies in modern society. He explores how these energies are transmitted through various channels, including interpersonal interactions and digital media, and offers strategies for individuals to protect themselves. His teachings advocate for the development of emotional self-control and the implementation of protective measures to maintain personal well-being.
Beyond his writings, Seelman has shared his insights through numerous media appearances, including national television shows and radio programs. He has been featured on platforms such as E Entertainment Television, Strange Universe, and the Sy-Fy Channel, where he performed a successful exorcism on camera. His expertise has also been showcased in interviews and discussions on the rise of negative thoughts and spirit influence in contemporary times.

Chapter 1 Emotional Violence

Everyone is looking for answers. How did our world become so violent and selfish? How did we become so disconnected from each other? Violence is tolerated in our societies-so we tolerate it. Selfishness is more complex and relates to how we think about ourselves and others. Many people are angry. They have feelings too. But what exactly are feelings, and what can they do? Get ready for some mind-altering insights.

At some point in every person's life, we wonder:

How are people connected?
And what are we connected to?

Could the answers be complex yet simple at the same time?

We live in difficult times, bombarded with facts, concepts, and information. So, let me start with a fact. Invisible Energies is a book in which I share my insights and perspectives on topics I have studied deeply. It's meant to provoke thought-and hopefully to help.

In my opinion, emotions come from a far deeper place than we realize. Emotional energies are generated by various sources. They can come from within-our own emotional systems and feelings-or from others around us and the environments we encounter.

They can also come from spirits. What is a spirit?

A being that is not currently physical yet generates thoughts and emotions.

That's also the most common definition of the term. This definition can include some lifeforms from other planets or dimensions-essentially aliens or inter-dimensional beings. Some may be physical, and some may not.

Emotional energies are generated by all beings and can be remarkably similar in nature and content across all these sources. They are typically invisible to the naked eye and not precisely measurable by physical means, although some methods can detect changes caused by them.

Emotional energies may be considered a byproduct of thought itself. They arise naturally from feelings and emotions.

Most people are good. Some are not. Most spirits are good. Some are not. Most aliens are good. Some are not.

These statements reflect beliefs I've expressed in past writings and interviews. I think most people would generally agree with these simple truths. Not everything or everyone is wholly good or bad in intent.

If emotional energies are byproducts of thought, what do they contain? They carry feelings-emotions wrapped in an unseen form of energy. This energy can take any shape or form, subconsciously or consciously shaped by the individual generating them. We usually aren't even aware we're doing this.

Sound complicated? It's not. Scientists and mystics both only understand part of the story. As for the ultimate source of all matter, existence, and thought-essentially, God-I can only speculate, and I won't attempt to do so here. It's more practical to work with what we do know to understand physical and nonphysical science. I believe physical science does not contradict nonphysical science.

Nonphysical science can be defined as the study of everything that is not physical. This does not mean the physical and nonphysical worlds are separate; I believe they are interconnected. Nonphysical reality can be seen as a level-some describe it as above, some as beneath physical reality.

Proving nonphysical reality using physical tools currently leads to a dead end. However, we can measure nonphysical phenomena through our minds, feelings, and our ability to influence others emotionally. It may sound simplistic, but as I explain more, the blend of simplicity and complexity will become clearer.

What's nonphysical within us includes our minds, thoughts, feelings, personalities, and our deeper connections. These could all be described collectively as our spirit or soul. From my perspective, the spirit or soul is not something inside us, it is us. A simpler way to understand this is to realize your spirit or soul is your personality. There is no part of you more personal than yourself.

It's important to distinguish between physical and nonphysical. Our brains and bodies are physical. Our minds and personalities are not. Though I write from a scientific perspective, religious scholars and believers have also long explored these ideas. Whether one is atheist, agnostic, religious, or scientific, the notion that there is a deeper part of us those lives beyond death is not new-and not foolish. Thousands of years of study and experience support this.

I avoid discussing the concept of God in this book, not because it lacks importance, but because it's a vast subject deserving its own focus. It's not necessary to explore it to understand the emotional and energetic concepts of protection and clearing discussed here.

We still don't fully understand how our emotions work or how they affect others. Our emotions carry an energetic component that may be invisible but is nonetheless real. We also don't grasp how the emotions of others influence us constantly. I'll also explore how spirits affect us emotionally. We must realize we are often influenced by the emotional states of others, including spirits. Though unseen, emotional energies clearly affect us by altering our own feelings.

It is timely to talk about how emotionally chaotic our world has become. I was born before the Internet existed, but I worked for an Internet company during its early days. Today, we are exposed to an overwhelming amount of information and emotional energy-far more than in the last century.

Television, the telephone, and radio began the era of widespread emotional exposure, but nothing compares to the Internet and social media.

The Internet is essentially a network of connected computers-allowing everyone to interact with anyone. This has incredible benefits: online bill payments, travel arrangements, staying in touch, getting information, and more. But there are serious downsides: the loss of privacy, data theft, resurfacing of past mistakes, children's exposure to inappropriate content, and the widespread acceptance of misleading or harmful information.

Let's start with humans. We naturally interact on many levels-verbally, nonverbally, emotionally. Emotions are byproducts of our thoughts and are more powerful than we realize. Though invisible, our thoughts and emotions travel between us, forming connections that can be positive or negative. Whether seen or not, I believe our thoughts and feelings carry very real, nonphysical energies.

Contrary to centuries of popular belief, emotional energies surround us constantly. We feel them-even if we cannot see them. They interact with our emotions 24/7, influencing us deeply.

Because emotional energies are nonphysical, they aren't bound by physical laws. Time and space do not restrict them. Emotional energy remains until we move it.

Distance means nothing when it comes to transferring emotional energies. We each send and receive these energies-often without knowing it. Emotional telepathy is real-and we all engage in it.

Telepathy is the nonverbal transfer of thoughts, feelings, or energies between individuals-or among groups. We do this all the time without even thinking about it. It's the most natural and effective form of communication.

Emotional telepathy is the transmission of our feelings-consciously or not-from one person to another or to many. It's undeniable. We affect each other emotionally, and sometimes we even intend to. Whether we want others to feel what we feel or to influence how others feel, the results can be uplifting or damaging.

Positive emotional energy is not the concern. It's negative emotional energy that hurts us. It interferes with what we want in life, creating energetic blockages that prevent positive energy from reaching us.

Every thought carries emotional energy. Even when thinking about people we don't know, we're sending emotional energy their way. We transmit and receive these energies around the clock-even while sleeping. We are both transmitters and receivers.

This is natural. But many of these emotional transmissions are negative-sometimes unintentionally, sometimes deliberately, with the purpose of emotionally destabilizing others.

We aren't usually taught how to shield ourselves from this influx of negativity. We absorb emotional energies from coworkers, strangers, media, and those we interact with. But we don't have to let these energies affect us. Feeling helpless is a misconception, we have the power to protect ourselves.

We live in an angry, divided world. Sophisticated emotional manipulators know how to weaponize thoughts and feelings. They deliberately amplify the emotional states of others.

Some may insist they're unaffected by others' emotions. That's simply untrue. We're constantly impacted by emotional energies from other people-and from spirits. Their numbers are beyond what we can imagine, and many have a vested interest in amplifying our emotions. To deny this influence is both shortsighted and unwise. Most people believe in life after death-so it stands to reason that thoughts and emotions don't end with the body.

In our emotionally charged world, emotional energy can act like a road rage feeling, contagious and explosive. Emotional states are being manipulated by individuals and groups who benefit from that instability. Their anger becomes your anger-transferred like a virus. The emotional effect can be as harmful as physical violence.

Our modern communication systems make this worse. Violent thoughts are now commonplace. Anger travels instantly from person to person. To understand how deeply we're affected, we must grasp the science of emotional and thought-based energy transfer. Thoughts occur at deep levels, and we're often unaware of the emotional energy we transmit.

It's wise to assume that not all the emotions we feel are our own. There are unseen influences-human and otherwise-that manipulate our emotions. Media and social interactions amplify this. We can even absorb emotional energy from people we've never met.

This is a widespread problem-and it's growing. Emotional instability is contagious, and emotional self-control is fading. Everyone wants control over their own lives, yet few realize how little control they have over their emotions. Some anger is healthy and has its place-but not when it's imposed by others.

When we are at the mercy of others' emotions, it becomes a problem.

Violence has become too acceptable. Globally. There seems to be no escape. Violence begins in the mind and spreads into the world. Who or what is to blame? Ultra-violent video games and movies aimed at youth? Possibly. The Internet can be a great tool-but also a conduit for harmful emotional communication with strangers.

Violence is contagious-and the disease is spreading fast. It feels like humanity has lost control. The abundance of violent imagery, speech, and behavior is staggering. Civility has eroded. Acting out violently is now an accepted substitute for reason. That, to me, is the most troubling development of the 21st century.

Chapter 2 The War

It is common for people to hope and believe that we continue after we die. As a professional psychic and exorcist, I have had many personal experiences that would be considered supernatural by most.

My concepts are not based on what I have read, they are rooted in what I have personally experienced. Does that make them provable? The answer is no. I share my unusual experiences from an unusual life to provoke thought. These experiences also shape what I believe is truly happening in both the physical and nonphysical universes.

The term "physical universe" is self-explanatory. The "nonphysical universe," however, is known by many terms and is not so easily understood. Some refer to it as heaven, the other side, eternal reward, or a resting place. Everyone seems to have a uniquely different view of this ancient concept that there is more than one place to exist.

The concept of God or gods is a lofty one. In this book, I will not delve into my personal beliefs about the origin of all things. I do not claim to know. This book focuses more on how we treat one another, the idea that we are not alone, and how spirits influence our lives far more often than we might realize.

There are two kinds of spiritual warfare: one between living human beings, and one between spirits and human beings.

Since the beginning of recorded history, humans have fought one another over power, money, and religion. Power struggles are often about financial gain and control. Spiritual warfare is frequently based on the belief that one's religion or belief system is more accurate than another's. This has led to countless physical wars, deaths, destruction, and oppression-all rooted in philosophy, not fact. We believe we know what happens after death, but often that belief is based on something we've read or been taught.

The War Between People: How Spiritual Warfare Manifests in Our Daily Lives

Many philosophical texts are treated as fact instead of opinion. This leads to the belief that "we are right, and others are wrong." One manifestation of this mindset is anger toward those who don't share our beliefs. With the rise of immediate, powerful communication like the internet and 24-hour news cycles, many feel emboldened to confront others. Yet, we lack proof that any belief system is more accurate than another. So, we fight and argue-often viciously-to defend our philosophies.

We argue silently through social media and comment sections, and openly on the phone, at work, and in our private lives. These arguments are often not constructive or well thought out. They usually stem from topics we do not fully understand and are typically opinion-based rather than fact-based.

What I write here is not meant to disparage any religion, belief, or opinion. Rather, I hope to raise awareness of the damage we do when we emotionally batter and label others "stupid" or "foolish," for instance-and the emotional toll this takes not only on the speaker or writer but also on the listener or reader. There is a profound lack of respect for differing opinions. This issue is global and growing rapidly. Civilized and polite conversation has declined with the rise of the internet.

When I was growing up in the 1960s and 1970s, it was considered rude to discuss religion or politics with neighbors. It was understood that such discussions rarely change minds and often lead to pointless conflict.

Now, thanks to the internet, anyone can enter our "living rooms" through a smartphone or computer. This new access has made it far too easy-and tempting-to argue with strangers whom we will never meet.

Our thoughts generate real, though invisible, energies from our emotions. These energies can become trapped in our body's energy fields, causing various problems. Emotional energy affects everyone around us. What we see and hear also affects us. We're only beginning to measure the harm done when people lash out from the safety of their own homes or devices.

Politeness and self-control have taken a backseat to the idea that we can say anything to anyone, even if it's hurtful-and sometimes especially if it's hurtful. This behavior matters. Our civil discourse is breaking down. Every time we lash out at someone, we launch an emotional attack.

Because emotional energy is real-though not physical, it can enter our body's energy fields from others. These energies accumulate over time and are not measurable by physical instruments. Still, they exist and affect us deeply. We can feel them.

The Long War Between Negative Spirits and Human Beings

Most spirits are simply people who have passed on and no longer have physical bodies. Most are good. But some-likely the same percentage that were problematic in life-have bad intentions.

That's a lot of negative spirits. Maybe even more than there are people living on Earth.

In my decades of work, I've observed that people do not usually change immediately after death. Those with emotional or moral issues still have those issues in the spirit world. A common misconception is that spirits only attack when there's a reason-but that's not always true. Just like in the physical world, attackers don't need to know you to harm you.

Most negative spirits attack emotionally. Their goal is to provoke negative reactions in ourselves or others. Their aim is to amplify our worst emotions. These attacks often come without logical reason, and the effects can be profound.

Spirits can see us even though we can't see them. They don't need to enter our energy fields to affect us, but they do need to focus on us. By focusing, they can transmit energies, ideas, and feelings.

Spirits seek targets of opportunity. They look for people who are emotionally vulnerable and test how much damage they can inflict. Because most people do not protect themselves spiritually, they are easy targets. And yes, there are methods of protection.

Attacks are typically emotional. Spirits amplify whatever state you're already in. Just as emotions transfer from one person to another, they can also transfer from spirit to person-mind to mind, feelings to feelings.

Because spirits can "see" how we feel-like colors-they can choose who to affect based on emotional vulnerability.

Why now? Because we're making it easy. We are so consumed by hate and division-stoked by media, social media, violent games, and unfiltered information that we've become easy prey. Even children are not safe. I believe no one under 18 should be on social media. If it's dangerous for adults, it's even more harmful to children, who lack the emotional defenses to handle what they see.

There are millions of negative spirits. If most are good, should we still worry? Yes. That minority is still vast.

And because many attacks lack meaningful purpose, we need to stop asking "why" and accept that some spirits are simply malevolent. They are like criminals in a nonphysical realm, targeting us out of ego or chaos.

This is not religious philosophy. I'm not a religious person. It's simply the way things are and always have been. Religious people might relate to the "good vs. evil" framework. One definition of evil is the willful infliction of harm for selfish purposes.

Spirits and humans share many traits including egos and bad habits. The spirit world is easier to navigate, but that doesn't mean its inhabitants are better. Some spirits remain deeply troubled.

There are many reasons a spirit might act negatively. Often, there is no rational explanation-just like with people. Sometimes they encounter someone good and attack simply because they can. This happens more than you might think.

More and more, I observe different types of negative spirits working together despite not liking one another-to create chaos on Earth.

We are all emotionally vulnerable these days, and that makes negative spirits feel bold. This is not about religion or prophecy-it's about restless, unstable entities with unresolved issues causing harm.

Fortunately, the science is not complicated. Everyone produces emotional energy-positive and negative. Negative energy is often pushed onto others like a wave, whether by people or spirits. This happens in everyday places: restaurants, offices-anywhere.

We must visualize and invoke positive, protective energies. These nonphysical forces can break up negative emotional energy and disrupt spiritual attacks. While the relief may be temporary, it is real.

We can learn to fight back. There are too many negative spirits out there to ignore.

Spirits exist on a level incompatible with our physical senses. On other levels, we can see them-and what they create. Much of what we once created too but have since forgotten in this lifetime.

Yes, there is a war. Good beings are trying to make the universe better. Negative spirits, unhappy with themselves, seek to destroy. It's usually no more complicated than that.

They are problematic, but we have the power to stop them. Unfortunately, no one teaches us how-not in schools or most books.

Chapter 3: Warnings and Opportunities

Something was different. When I was a young boy in the early 1960s, I sometimes saw what appeared to be adult beings dressed in various types of clothing in my school classrooms. What were they doing there? I could literally see the emotional energy in those classrooms as well-coalescing around the walls and ceilings. I could certainly feel it.

I remember waking up and seeing two aliens in my bedroom when I was four years old-in 1963. They stood at the edge of my bed, dressed in very dark uniforms with brightly lit lights on their chests. Although I was terrified, I sensed they weren't there to harm me. They didn't carry alien laser guns, something I assumed all aliens had at that age, thanks to the science fiction films and shows of the time. Thankfully, they were there for another purpose, and things turned out okay.

I also recall waking up one night, drawn to open the basement door, where I saw another kind of being-not alien, and not spirit, I thought-standing at the foot of the stairs, staring at me in a distinctly unfriendly way. I reported it immediately to my parents, who were already becoming accustomed to the unusual things that happened to me.

I was able to tell my mom when my maternal grandmother-was about to call, down to the exact minute and day. I made the mistake of trying to explain what I was seeing to teachers, parents, and anyone who would listen, including some of my classmates. That didn't go well. I received negative feedback. I had assumed others could see these things too, so I didn't think I was doing anything wrong by talking about them.

My parents handled it well. My teachers didn't. My classmates worse. Often, I was met with stunned silence. Not fun for a young boy in the early '60s.

I began losing friends, and teachers started thinking there was something wrong with me. But I wasn't crazy-I simply had strong psychic abilities. I believe many people can relate to that. To cope, I decided during the summer before fourth grade, around age 10: I would never mention any of it again. I hoped that if I stayed quiet, the problem-people thinking I was disturbed-would go away. And it worked. I made friends again, and school became more normal. I still saw and felt things, but I no longer spoke of them.

The school I attended was very old-so old, in fact, that both of my parents had gone there as children. I suspected some of the emotional energy I sensed was left over from classes decades before. These energies appeared as dark, floating patches. Though I couldn't stop seeing them, I put my abilities aside to survive school life. My mother appreciated my ability to predict phone calls, so at home, I didn't have to hide. But I stopped talking about it elsewhere.

I didn't know how to protect myself from the negative emotional energies in the classroom, or from seeing occasional visitors-adults who weren't visible to anyone else. They seemed to observe the students and their work. Some smiled at me. Others ignored me. A few were erratic and tried to scare me-and succeeded. Thankfully, that was rare. Most were strangely dressed, but kind.

I didn't know what spirits were, or who these people were. They seemed solid-normal people, just dressed in clothing from different eras, never the '60s. This didn't make school exciting; it made it nearly impossible. I was too young to understand. Oddly, the aliens were easier to make sense of. I believed their lights had some function, possibly transportation. That wouldn't be the last time aliens or spirits were part of my life.

The Warnings

One ability I've always had-and I think many readers will relate to-is a sense of warning before something bad happens or a nudge to change direction. This has stayed with me my entire life and is probably the most common form of psychic perception. I believe everyone has it.

The Pool Hall Adventure

I began my professional work in 1990 at age 30. I placed my first advertisement in a local newspaper in 1992. I kept my full-time job and helped people in the evenings and weekends. It was slow at first. Around this time, I decided to attend a Friday night amateur comedy show at a pub I'd never been to. The pub had a stage and some pool tables, each lit by long, heavy stained-glass lights. The pool tables had been moved to make space for fold-up chairs.

I was lucky enough to get a front-row seat. One performer followed another. Then suddenly, I felt an urgent need to use the restroom. It seemed like a typical human moment. I hurried to the men's room-but nothing happened. A false alarm. I zipped up, washed my hands, and returned.

As I opened the bathroom door, I knew something was wrong. All the lights were on, and about 75 people were staring at me. I quickly saw why: While I was in the restroom, one of the ceiling hooks holding up a pool table light had broken, causing the heavy fixture to swing down and strike the chair I had just vacated.
Had I been sitting there…

People told me how lucky I was, but I knew better. I had received a strange yet profound warning. Something-not someone-was trying to harm me. I had been clearing very negative energies from homes for a couple of years, and I strongly suspected that this was attempted payback. I'm not superstitious, but that night I learned a valuable lesson: never take anything for granted. The show went on-and so did I. But the chair did not.

Spirit Guides vs. Bad Food

Over the years, I've had many unusual experiences. Here's one smaller, but important lesson.

In 1995, about five years after I began helping people professionally, I was at a suburban shopping mall and got hungry. I headed to the food court and chose an ice cream shop that also sold sandwiches. I'd had their ice cream before, but never their food. I ordered a sandwich, fries, and a large soda. The place was empty. After receiving my tray, I went to a quiet corner table-my usual preference.

Just as I was about to sit down, the large soda tipped over and soaked half the sandwich. No customers, no vibrations, no explanation. It was eerily quiet. I was certain some unseen force had knocked the soda over. But I ignored the sign and ate the untouched half.

I got food poisoning. It wasn't serious enough for hospitalization, but it was unpleasant. Someone-or something-had tried to warn me, and I ignored it. Lesson learned.

Some Missed Opportunities?

Over the years, my work has attracted significant attention. I've appeared on national television and hundreds of radio shows. But some opportunities fell through-often at the last minute: David Letterman, Oprah Winfrey, Jerry Springer, Discovery Channel, and more. I saw these as chances to share protective methods against negative emotional energies, whether from people or spirits.

About 70% of my work involves clearing negative emotional energies from people and places-homes, offices, hotels, restaurants. The remaining 30% involves dealing with negative and demonic spirits. I'm experienced in exorcism and often worked with severe cases early on.

The confusion came from this dual role. Clients and media alike didn't know what to make of me. Was I an energy healer or a spirit-fighting exorcist? The truth is-I'm both.

This duality started around 1997-1998 as websites were emerging. Clients would advise me to downplay the exorcism aspect to gain more credibility. But I couldn't. Negative spirits often link directly to emotional energy issues. Those who hired me to clear spirits were surprised to learn I also cleared people's energy fields-and vice versa. They seemed like two types of clients-but really, it's one spectrum of the same work.

I did national television in the mid-90s on the show Sightings, performing an exorcism in a home with three professional women who reported shadows and bed indentations. Cameras rolled as I resolved the issue. That success led to more TV interest-but also hesitation. Producers weren't sure how to present my work. Some wanted me to do live demonstrations. Others were terrified of that idea. I was open-if it was genuine and not staged.

Unfortunately, what started as excitement often turned to panic. Many appearances were canceled shortly before filming. It was disappointing. Fortunately, some shows, particularly radio, gave me space to share without spectacle.

Radio hosts initially played horror music and treated me as a novelty. But once I started speaking, they took me seriously. The phones lit up. People who have these experiences just need to feel safe talking about them.

Early on, I often wore a suit for interviews. I think some hosts expected a priest's robe. Instead, they got someone serious about helping people. Clients at wellness centers were stunned to learn I also dealt with spirits. Many businesses suffer from these issues, too.

I sometimes wonder: What if I had done those big shows? Would it have launched my career-or destroyed it? I believe those missed opportunities didn't work out for a reason.
