Personal Power
What is "personal power"?
Personal power is the ability to get what you want in life, and to bolster and support others to do the same in their lives. People operating out of their personal power recognize that life is not a race, it's a marathon. Life is a continual learning and growing experience, and the goal is to create situations for you and for others to experience love, empathy, wonder, joy, curiosity, and healing. To help more than you harm. To heal more that you hurt. To build up, rather than tear down.
How do you know if you don't have Personal Power?
- If you feel fear and anger most of the time, you don't have it.
- If you use violence or the threat of violence to try to control other people's behavior, you don't have it.
- If you threaten, demean, or insult others, you don't have it.
- If everything is everybody else's fault, you don't have it.
- If you are stuck in situational depression, you don't have it.
- If you have no motivation and take no action to generate positive change, you don't have it.
These behaviors are indicative of a deep need for healing on one or more levels of the thoughts, emotions, body, and/or spirit. If you find yourself spending most of your time creating negative things in the world, please read on to find out how you can create a better life for yourself. Negativity only begets more negativity for your own life.
It is critical to understand that how you act, think, and feel is what is producing the outcomes in your life.
How are you contributing to your NOT having Personal Power?
- Your own lack of action.
- Your thoughts of being helpless/powerless.
- Not taking action and working on your problems (and we all have them).
- Allowing negative, violent, angry people to be a part of your life.
- Yourself being negative, violent, angry.
- Belonging to institutions/organizations that hate groups of people.
- Belonging to institutions/organizations that claim their way is right and all other ways are wrong.
- Belonging to institutions/organizations that expect your complete loyalty and obedience, but you get nothing for your time and efforts.
How can you get personal power?
Build your power team, and WORK. Your power team is a team of professionals who you can use as resources to help you to help yourself become stronger in thoughts, emotions, body, and spirit. Your power team will guide you as you work on your issues. And we all have issues. No one is issue-free. You cannot be incarnated and not have have issues that you " I think thecame down here" to work on, and you can not have been battle-scarred in some way by this lifetime. Your job is to fix the damage, and do an upgrade on yourself in the process. That is the WORK part - your job - and a worthwhile cause!
1) Fix Your Thoughts and Emotions
Bare essentials: Find a therapist, counselor, or psychologist who you are comfortable with and who you trust. We all need to do this, because we ALL have issues. no one immune. Having a counselor to advise and ensure your reactions and behaviors are HEALTHY is a sign of great fortitude. Only the strong and the leaders can admit to, and take action on, their issues.
In addition: You need to change your thought patterns and become "the master of your emotions" in order to operate from your personal power.
- Know that he only things in life you can control are your behavior, reactions, and choices.
- Regardless of how hard your life has been, stop that mental tape recording playing that tells you "If only he hadn't hurt me, my life wouldn't have been so hard.", or "If only she had been there for me, my life wouldn't have been so hard.". When you hear that recording playing, replace it with thoughts of actions you have taken that created good for yourself or for somebody else.
- Consciously try to treat people and situations with positivity. Negativity and negative thoughts ALWAYS produce negative outcomes. Optimism and positive thought energy
- Become aware of every thought, every action. Stop all negative thoughts and actions against yourself or other people immediately and change them to positive ones.
- Visualize what you want to happen. This is VERY IMPORTANT. Why? Thoughts are REAL. Thoughts are THINGS. Thoughts are ENERGY. Thoughts are simply the precursor to the physical manifestation. "If you think it, it will manifest." "What you focus on multiplies." These are well-known sayings for a reason. They work.
- Acknowledge emotional or physical scars as badges of honor, learn from them, work on the problems bad life experiences can cause with your counselor. And at the same time you are working on your issues, seek out new, happy experiences so that the good memories outweigh the bad ones.
2) Fix Your Spirit
Bare essentials: Find a spiritual worker you are comfortable with and who you trust. It can be ain priest, a spiritual counselor, a psychic, anyone in the "genre" of spirituality you prefer.
In addition:

- Seek as much variety in spiritual learning as you crave. The internet is a buffet of free learning and ideologies. Whatever you seek to know, whatever your spiritual-learning-craving, let yourself have it! Learn all you can! None of us has all the answers, so consider it an easter-egg hunt - or a quest - for knowledge.

- Know that nothing stays the same forever. So, if you are in a difficult situation, know that difficult situations are never forever, and eventually the pendulum will swing in the other direction.
- Adopt the Japanese attitude "CANI" - Constant And Neverending Improvement!!!
- Disconnect from negative people in your life. Create as much physical distance and emotional distance as possible from negative people. After distancing, take sea salt baths, get a clearing, do disconnection rituals, or seek help from healers/spiritual workers to eliminate their life-draining energy from your metaphysical system.
3) Fix your body
Bare essentials: If possible, try to obtain a primary care physician, and see them regularly. Find someone you are comfortable with and who you trust.
In addition:
- Eliminate anything you put into your body that is unnecessary or that harms your physical health. Work towards eliminating your addictions!
- Get plenty of air, sunlight, and rain. Play in the sand, sit against a tree, lay in the grass.
- If you are physically able to, break a sweat at least a few times a week, even if it is only for 5 minutes, as it will cleanse the body.
- Stretch, breathe, use your MUSCLES!!!
- If you currently have a health problem, visualize it being gone, and recognize that health problems are sometimes a manifestation of problems with our thoughts, emotions, or spirit.

None of us is perfect, or we would not be incarnated. Build your team of professionals to help you. Pick your team! With your team in place, it's all about work. But it is effort well-spent, because it is spent on you.
How will you know if you have Personal Power?
- You will naturally reject people or organizations who do not act out of personal power.
- You will take full responsibility for the outcomes of your actions.
- You will naturally strive to take care of your thoughts, emotions, body, and spirit on a daily basis.
- You will make decisions based only on what you can control, not on what you hope others will do.
- You will be self-confident and self-reliant.
- You will be full of optimism, love, and empathy.
